Physical Security Supervisor
The Physical Security Supervisor is responsible for training and supervising the Physical Security Officers deployed at all company properties. The Physical Security Supervisor maintains the personnel schedule by weighing staffing levels versus operational needs and ensures the physical safety of all Associates and tenants occupying the facilities. The Physical Security Supervisor will assist management in drafting, implementation and enforcement of all security-related policies designed to protect both life and property and will review and approve all reports submitted by the Security Officers. In addition, The Physical Security Supervisor will enforce the department’s as well as the organization’s policies and procedures. The Physical Security Supervisor reports directly to the Physical Security Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee the Daily operation of the Physical Security Department, including the delegation of responsibilities to the Physical Security Officers and follow up, ensuring timely completion of all assigned tasks.
- Directs the work of two or more Associates.
- Maintain the Physical Security Officers’ work schedule.
- Conduct Physical Security Officer training periodically.
- Responsible for ensuring the safety of all Associates occupying the facility.
- Perform site assessments to determine immediate and long-term security requirements and objectives.
- Assist Physical Security Management with drafting and enforcement of policies and procedures designed to protect both life and property.
- Enforce all security-related policies and procedures. Recommend changes to senior management as needed.
- Monitor electronic equipment (e.g. alarms, cameras, fire suppression systems, intercoms, telephones, etc.) used to monitor the various properties.
- Conduct internal and Associate investigations, when required.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and offices.
- Enforce all department-related performance and productivity standards.
- May recommend hiring, promotion, terminations or any other change of status of Associates.
- Draft and administer all necessary human resources paperwork to include disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, time off requests and personal status change requests.
- Ensure departmental audits are carried out as scheduled.
