OUR REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
- Vision must be correctable to 20/40; must pass the Ishihara color vision test and/or be able to recognize the colors of traffic signals and devices showing red, green and amber; and must meet established hearing standards.
- Must possess no felony convictions at any time while employed by the City of Branson.
- Must maintain credibility as a witness for testimony given in a court of law is a condition of on-going employment for all City of Branson law enforcement positions.
- Upon completion of the training Academy, achieving POST certification is a condition of continued employment.
- Must be able to qualify with department issued firearms.
- Must be able to pass in-house training courses on the proper use of various police equipment.
- Tattoos, Scarification, Body Art, and Body Modifications must meet City of Branson Employee Appearance at Work policy.
- Must be highly engaged in the department's goals and be able to work cooperatively with City of Branson leadership in achieving those goals.
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service to the department's internal or external customers.
- Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must possess strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational, project management skills, sound judgment, initiative, flexibility, and be detail oriented.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation, polygraph, psychological, and medical/physical screenings.
- Must be willing to sign Training Agreement.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The hourly wage while in Academy is $20.20 per hour.

WORK LOCATION: In and around the City of Branson, Missouri and the Police Academy; This position requires work to be performed onsite.

This position requires flexibility, as it may involve shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the Department's 24/7/365 operations.
