Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Insect ecology field or laboratory research. OR BA/BS Degree in Biological Sciences.

Duties:

The selectee will provide research support associated with sustainable pest management and insect ecology research, including performing technical duties and collecting and maintaining accurate records of data.   • Insect rearing for biological control program.   60%
  • Data management, entry and quality control.   30%
  • Process insect and plant samples, and identify insects, from field research on management of pests and weeds   10%

Other:
  • Training provided as needed.
  • Health and Safety Considerations: JHAs will be identified by the Primary and Secondary Monitors before the enrollment date and provided to the location Safety and Occupational Health Specialist. The enrollee conducted all duties described prior to retirement. The Safety and Occupational Health Specialist will identify training requirements and provide training to the enrollee on their first day in the workplace.
  • Required Safety Gear: Safety equipment provided as needed.
