The Agricultural Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Agricultural support for individuals aged 55 and over to support the Department of Agriculture?s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program awarded to National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions). The ACES program provides an opportunity to work side-by-side with NRCS staff that are doing important work every day. Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in 508 Compliance OR BA/BS Degree in Communications

  • Current Driver's License, Extensive knowledge of Adobe Acrobat DC and Microsoft Word is required.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Adobe Acrobat DC, PowerPoint
Duties:

This position supports the Watershed Branch Team and NRCS State Offices by ensuring watershed documents are 508-compliant.

  • Assists states with developing watershed project plans and other public facing documents by providing Section 508 compliance evaluation and analysis and remediation of electronic documents to ensure compliance with federal accessibility rules and regulations. Provide guidance to the Watershed Programs Branch on 508 compliance of public facing documents.   80%
  • Assist in developing Section 508 Compliance trainings for the states for watershed project planning documents   20%
