The Agricultural Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Agricultural support for individuals aged 55 and over to support the Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program awarded to National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise, and experience will truly be valued. The ACES program provides an opportunity to work side-by-side with NRCS staff that are doing important work every day.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in Minimum of 15 years of experience in conducting analyses of economic issues associated with ecological and conservation policies, conducting quantitative analysis and application of statistical principles, and assisting in the development of methods and tools to estimate the economic benefits of conservation programs. OR BA/BS Degree in Economics, Statistics, accounting and calculus.
- Valid State Driver?s license.
- Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel

Duties:
Review state and field NRCS conservation programs and economic analysis and provide policy and program analysis support for Iowa State Office.
- Conducts management-defined analyses of economic issues associated with ecological and conservation policies, synthesizes data and information, and provides advice and recommendations on resource problems to management and conservation districts; provides analytical support for regulatory and policy actions, changes in programs, and specific conservation projects, including contributing work on impact assessments and cost/benefit analyses; assists in efforts to develop methods and tools to estimate the economic benefits of conservation programs and specific projects; and supports projects led by senior staff requiring cross-team interaction within the organization. 100%
