Property Manager with Mechanical Aptitude

An executive couple with a well-established Family Office would like to hire a hands-on Property Manager for their beautiful Greenwich, CT residence.

 

This individual will ensure the smooth operation of the property, with a heavy focus on the facilities and grounds. The Property Manager will collaborate with the established domestic team and the Family Office to maintain the principals' high standards.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for the care and maintenance of the residence and support structures. This includes commercial grade mechanical systems, pools, terraces, landscaping, irrigation systems, dock, and sea wall.
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure all systems are in proper working order.
  • Oversee all property and seasonal employees; assist with training and onboarding.
  • Coordinate vendors and ensure they are performing work properly and maintaining the integrity of the property.
  • Perform scheduled tasks to include washing windows, trash removal, pool and spa maintenance, change filters and light bulbs, water plants.
  • Keep all vehicles fully serviced and properly stored during off-season.
  • Check cleanliness of all interior rooms, working with Hospitality Team and Housekeepers ensuring the residence and support buildings are ready for arrival.
  • Develop an annual capital and operating budget for the property.
  • Handle administrative work, respond to communication promptly, and manage property information on SharePoint.
  • Drive the family as needed.
  • Run errands and complete other tasks as requested.

 

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have prior experience caring for and maintaining fine homes or luxury hospitality properties.
  • A background in the trades is highly valued.
  • Broad knowledge of high-end residential systems.
  • A proven track record of successful property, project, and vendor management.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Experience managing successful teams.
  • Computer literate, tech savvy, and experience working with Microsoft products.

 

Schedule:

Generally, a 40–50-hour work week, this role will include some Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as required. Hours vary during family residency months, guest visits, and events. The busiest months are May/June and September/October.

 

Compensation: Competitive compensation with an excellent benefits package including an annual discretionary bonus, health/dental/vision, PTO, paid holidays.
