AMC is currently looking for an HR Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the human resources department with day-to-day operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees. Your role will involve data entry, maintaining payroll records, assisting with payroll-related inquiries, employee onboarding and other HR related tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
 

Projects may include but not limited to:

  • Administer payroll on a bi-weekly basis by analyzing, preparing and inputting payroll data; ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal wage and hour laws.
  • Collect, review and reconcile timesheet information; communicate with employees/managers regarding discrepancies.
  • Serve as primary administrator for HRIS systems by entering new employees, issuing access, and updating employee change information and benefits enrollment.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of payroll/timekeeping software.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to employees with inquiries regarding pay, timesheets, benefits and HR policies. 
  • Create, maintain and update personnel files and records.
  • Assist with recruiting-related tasks as needed, screening, testing, interviewing, processing background checks, new hire onboarding.
  • Provide support to the HR team through a variety of administrative tasks and projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Human Resources/payroll preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with payroll software/HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
