Human Resources Specialist

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Verify and input personnel information into applicable electronic systems and/or software programs.

Review, update, and post vacant positions.

Screen applications and schedule qualified applicants for interviews.

Maintain personnel files by regularly reviewing and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Agency policies, procedures, and laws.

Track employee training and ensure all required trainings are current, properly documented, and placed in personnel files.

Assist in the collection and processing of data regarding recommended applicants.

Ensure selected applicants' compliance with and completion of the onboarding process and orientation.

Collaborate with staffing agencies to obtain, track, and coordinate services while maintaining a list of approved temporary staff.

Process and track employee evaluations.

Draft correspondence as requested, proofread typing, and utilize independent judgment for editing and correcting such correspondence.

Order and maintain forms and other office supplies, ensuring adequate levels are available.

Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Must maintain meticulous attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Must be able to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.

Must be well-versed in Federal, State, and Local employment and labor laws and personnel regulations.

Considerable Talent Acquisition experience.

Must be able to interact with leaders and employees at all levels.

Must possess exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Knowledge and proficiency in personal computer systems and software applications.

Ability to understand and accurately follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to work independently.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree plus one year of Human Resources experience or High School diploma or equivalent with six years of experience in Human Resources. 

Must secure and maintain current CPI and Red Cross First Aid/CPR certifications.

Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that is acceptable to Carastar Health's insurance carrier.

Must maintain at least liability insurance coverage on personal vehicle.
