The Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Administrative/Office support for individuals age 55 and over and per EPA Policy applicants must be US Citizen to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a grant administered program through National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise and experience will truly be valued. The EPA provides a wonderful work atmosphere, and you'll be working side-by-side with EPA staff that are doing important work every day. Must be a United States Citizen. This position is available for remote work, however the Enrollee must live within the Western, Southern Virginia area. |
Qualifications:Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in UST Inspections OR BA/BS Degree in Environmental, physical, life sciences OR Previously completed training in UST Inspections and Inspection Report Writing - Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS OneDrive, Adobe

Duties:This SEE enrollee will conduct RCRA Underground Storage Tank (UST) inspections and document them in the form of a R3 UST inspection report. The reports will then be delivered to ECAD?s RCRA Section for a compliance determination and any necessary follow-up. SEE enrollee may provide appropriate compliance assistance to UST facilities. - Perform UST inspections, including pre- and post-inspection related activities (e.g., prepare requests for information). 45%
- Document inspection observations in an inspection report within 60 days of the inspection. 45%
- Complete and submit required data forms (e.g., Inspection Conclusion Data Sheet). 5%
- Provide compliance assistance. 5%

- Travel Requirements: Position requires travel to and from sites to be inspected. Local day trips and non-local overnight trips
- Overnight travel: 1-2 weeks per month
- Health Safety Training: SHEM Health and Safety Training
- Health and Safety Considerations: Online or in person via the R3 SHEM Manager
- Required Safety Gear: Steel-toed boots, hardhat, safety glasses, hi vis vest
