For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.
NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Agricultural Research Service through the Experienced Worker Program (EWP).

Qualifications:Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in a grants and agreements federal position. OR BA/BS Degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or Soil Science. - Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel

Duties:The EWP enrollee would serve as advisor to Plains Area leadership and Plains Area locations management on grants and agreements. Enrollee would assist in training new Grants Management Specialists and other administrative positions with agreement responsibilities as needed. Enrollee would advise leadership on federal policies, regulations, procedures related to grants and agreements.
Option to work remotely; estimating three trips per year of travel required. - Serves as advisor to Plains Area leadership and Plains Area location management on a grants and agreements procedures and processes. 40%
- Training new Grants Management Specialists and other agreement personnel. 40%
- Provides guidance on federal policies, regulations and procedures related to grants and agreements. 20%
Other:- Travel Requirements: Enrollee would travel to assist in training new agreements personnel.
- Overnight travel: Estimating 3 trips a year.
- Air travel anticipated: Estimating 3 trips a year.
- Rental cars: Estimating 3 trips a year.
- Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
