IT Support Technician (part-time)

At American Airlines Center, we value our employees and what they bring to the company, but more importantly to the guest experience. We are seeking an energetic and customer service oriented PART-TIME IT Support Technician to join our IT team.  The IT Support Technician will provide IT and point-of-sale support during facility events.

Essential Functions:

  • Assemble and configure computers, printers, peripherals, network components, and associated services for deployment.
  • Configure, install and maintain basic network operations, including assembly of network hardware, installation of software and firmware components, and provides assistance to the IT manager on duty.
  • Perform continuous network troubleshooting to isolate, prevent and as required, diagnose network problems and anomalies.
  • Provide users with technical support and respond to trouble tickets generated by users during event.
  • Provide support for point-of-sale hardware and software O/S.
  • Respond to needs and questions of users concerning their computer access.
  • Documents all work and event tickets.
  • Ability to support and resolve any Wi-Fi and Cellular issues during events.

Experience/Education:          

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional- Windows Server is required plus three years of directly related experience or the equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Windows 11OS, MS Office Suite, DHCP, TCP/IP, additional Apple iOS and Android OS experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends with a flexible schedule. (Listed under Physical Demands below)
  • Must be customer-service oriented, have a fan-friendly attitude and professional appearance at all times.
  • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the data network distribution trades.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and climb stairs.
  • Ability to perform physical duties of employment including, but not limited to lifting 50 lbs. while twisting and turning, working at heights and frequent climbing of stairs and ladders.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate, however, during events the noise level may be loud.
  • Employees must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
