Research Analyst, Human Capital Center

Position Summary:

The Research Analyst will provide statistical, research, graphic, and member support to the Human Capital Center, based out of the NY Office. Candidate will work closely with the Head of Research and Researchers, as well as Senior Director, Member Engagement, and Member Engagement Associates, as an integral part of the Human Capital Center team in order to ensure the successful completion of business research projects and specific deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Within the broad responsibilities summarized above, the Research Analyst is responsible for the timely completion of work assigned.
  • Supports Research team by collecting data and information as requested, conducting literature reviews, implementing data collection and feeding data into databases, managing databases, preparing materials for meetings and documents (e.g., statistics, tables, charts, stats, power point presentations), and assisting in report generation, such as finalization of documents, etc., including checking and proof reading.
  • Implements on-line surveys including assistance in the development of questionnaires, code, format, construction and verification of sampling plans, process responses, contact of survey participants, and other data collection activities.
  • Uses statistical software package, such as SPSS, to perform statistical analysis of research data, prepare syntax for surveys, input detailed survey information, and interpret data collected through surveys.
  • Collaborates with the Member Engagement team to manage, communicate, and coordinate research-driven activities with our member organizations. This includes handling specific research requests, representing the Research team during Member calls, capturing topics of Member interest, facilitating expert briefings, and more.
  • Demonstrates initiative beyond the successful completion of assigned projects in order to foster collaboration, generate new ideas and processes.
  • Contributes to the overall Human Capital Center through support of additional projects undertaken by the Research Director, and others; participate in seminars and workshops; and interact with other members of the research staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate should be detail-oriented; a responsible independent worker who has the ability to effectively work on many projects simultaneously and meticulously meet deadlines.
  • This position requires a self-starter who is dedicated and willing to take initiative.
  • The candidate must be mature and poised, as this position requires interaction with corporate executives who are members of TCB as well as senior staff of TCB.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Economics, Business Management, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources or social sciences preferred.
  • Strong academic performance and experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. 
  • Knowledge of a statistical software package, such as SPSS, and experience with survey design and analysis preferred.
