Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support to the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).
This position supports the Bureau of Land Management Business Management & Administration Office (HQ 72). The majority of the work will be remote, but trainings may be presented in-person.
? BLM ESP positions are meant to provide temporary, project-based support. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 890 hours.
? A background security investigation may be required prior to the start date. Only those positions with 30+ hours per week are eligible for health insurance benefits; all positions will accrue sick leave.
? The experienced workers participating in the Program are referred to as ?Enrollees? and are not employees of the BLM or NEW Solutions. NEW Solutions is the ESP non-governmental organization responsible for administrative aspects of the program, and the Enrollees work under BLM direction to assist the Agency staff in carrying out their mission. BLM ESP Enrollees benefit from the opportunity to keep technical skills current; to access new training opportunities; to engage in gainful project-based positions; and to undertake meaningful tasks using their experience and talent to contribute to the environment, the national economy, and their own financial security.

Qualifications:HS/GED Degree - At least 10 years of experience in Administrative Support
- Experience required with Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS PowerPoint
Duties:The enrollee will assist in the design and upkeep of a Financial Assistance training program for a cadre of entry level Grants Management Specialists (GMS) to be coordinated and conducted at the BLM, with oversight by the BLM Financial Assistance Policy group.
- Review and maintain all training materials for current web links and other content 75%
- Responsible for PowerPoint presentation during trainings, monitoring chat 15%
- Training related correspondance 5%
- Other related duties as assigned 5%
Other:- Travel Requirements: Present training at NTC or other
- Overnight travel: Possibly 2 to 4 nights
- Air travel anticipated: Possibly 2 to 4 nights
- Physical requirements: Work will be primarily sedentary, working at a laptop computer.
- Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
