WHAT YOU'LL DO
As part of the Engineering team, the Electrical Engineer II will analyze, research, and design components or a system of components to develop or improve Aircraft products while enhancing performance, reducing cost, or facilitating manufacturing operations. The Engineer will create engineering drawings and maintain electronic project design folders. This position requires knowledge of a variety of engineering principles from mechanical, electrical, or other engineering disciplines.
Other essential duties include:
- Works with Engineers and other team members on the design, development, and testing of electrical aircraft parts, components and equipment
- Work with other departments (Manufacturing, Quality, Flight Line) to design test equipment to help increase efficiency on the manufacturing line
- Work on test analysis and other test-related tasks including test set-up and coordination
- Design, develop, and test aircraft parts and components
- Write reports documenting activities and analyses
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer preferably in aviation or similar
- Must have at least 2 years of industry experience
- Aerospace experience is preferred
- Experience with SolidWorks is required
- SolidWorks Enterprise PDM helpful
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering
- Strong knowledge of computer-aided design tools
- Strong mechanical design aptitude and capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy
- Must be flexible to adapt to changing requirements
- Ability to work well independently or in a team environment
- Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
