The Human Resources Manager sets and aligns the global people strategy with the company's business priorities to drive results and actively collaborates with the global leadership teams as a partner to the business. The successful candidate will provide HR policy guidance and interpretation, along with strategic HR planning for the future. They will provide guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning and have operational responsibilities in all HR areas including recruitment, talent development, change management, employee relations, performance management, engagement, retention, employment law, compliance, and HR reporting.

This is a global leadership role and as such the successful candidate will need to be able to display exceptional communication, and leadership skills as well as travel globally.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As part of the leadership team, develops HR processes for organizational development that will support the strategic growth of the business.
  • Leads in developing a strategic HR roadmap that will improve employee engagement and support a rapidly growing business.
  • Partners with management at the global manufacturing centers to ensure that HR aids in achieving operational goals.
  • Drives the continual development of HR programs such as recruitment, retention, compensation, benefits, learning & development, and succession planning globally.
  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Advises and supports managers on strategic issues, helping them implement high-performing, integrated HR practices.
  • Provides timely information for all levels of the group regarding HR issues arising.
  • Analyzes and interprets various types of employee reports, such as compensation, job levels, and turnover risks, to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
  • Coaches and provides expertise to manager-level staff on performance management and employee development goals.
  • Collaborates with the global HR teams to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
  • Develops strategies and designs approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Creates HR synergies where possible across global teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Business or related degree with a postgraduate in Human Resources Management preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or PHR/HRCI certification preferred
  • 8 + years of HR management experience
  • Experience in Compensation & Benefits is an asset
  • Able to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines effectively and efficiently
  • Able to influence effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, analytical, and independent judgment skills to support a customer-centric, collaborative environment
  • Ability to build positive, productive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues
  • Experience working in a global business environment will be an asset
  • Quarterly global travel is required, up to 25% of the time – including travel to China
