Gettle is currently seeking an experienced High Voltage Lineman to perform maintenance and work on overhead, underground and other central electrical systems above 1000 volts. Incumbents must be able to perform routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance of various high voltage systems.
High Voltage Lineman | Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Manage and communicate manpower or material needs to project managers.
- Erect and replace poles; perform rigging on high voltage equipment such as transformers, capacitor banks, group-operated switches, etc.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools.
- Ability to operate equipment such as bucket trucks and line trucks.
- Compliance with all DOT regulations and requirements for CDL drivers.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
High Voltage Lineman | Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five or more years' experience as a lineman.
- A valid driver's license and valid CDL required for travel to job sites and equipment operation.
- Must be able to operate lifts and bucket trucks.
- Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies or other time-sensitive incidents.
- Must be able to work in atmospheric conditions such as extreme cold, heat, humidity, and other various weather conditions.
- Employee may be exposed to moderate noise levels.
- Must be able to navigate construction sites consisting of uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
- The ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift objects up to 80 pounds.
- Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds.
