Finishing Specialist I
Position Summary:
The Loffler Document Services Center (LDSC) in St. Louis Park, MN is accepting applications for a Bindery/Finishing Specialist.
The position focuses on print order finishing using specialized equipment to produce quality work to meet customer needs. Such as but not limited to: binding, laminating, cutting, folding, letter inserting, poster/banner finishing, order packaging and shrink wrapping, etc. Must be both productive, have a strong attention to detail and perform quality checks to ensure customer expectations are met. Other duties can include, but not limited to, typical office functions such as copy/print work, mail, and scanning. Ideal candidate will be a team player that is also able learn quickly and to work independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Finishing (primary role)
- Position focuses on printed material finishing with an emphasis on booklet bindery
(Perfect binding, Coil, Wire, and Tape binding)
- Maintain high levels of output productivity and accuracy.
- Keep work area neat and clean and provide minor maintenance of equipment as needed
- Report supply needs and equipment maintenance when needed.
- Mail Services
- Prepare outgoing mail using client site mailing equipment to insert into envelopes.
- Copying/Printing
- Make copies – assist with keeping machines running, filling paper, toner, staples etc.
- Scanning
- Properly process and scan original document to client specifications.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Assist where help is needed throughout shop.
- Responsible for understanding, staying updated on, and abiding by the Employee Handbook as written.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- In office position 5 days per week
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Works well under pressure and achieve deadlines.
- Ability to work with detailed information accurately.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and software.
- Communications Skills - Written and Oral, Interpersonal, Customer Interface, Professionalism, Maturity.
- Team player, but also Self-Motivated, with Good Judgment and Decisiveness.
- Organization & Planning - Organized, Flexibility and able to Prioritize.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
- No industry experience required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May be called upon to train and develop skill sets.
