Key Account Manager

Primary Objective

Generates sales of products and services to achieve volume and growth objectives for assigned global key accounts.   Partners closely with key people associated with assigned account and represents account internally to ensure support from all departments is provided, as needed, to effectively pursue selling opportunities.

Major Areas of Accountability

1.        Develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of the global organization of each account, as well as a network of relationships and partnerships with the decision makers in the key areas with the key people globally. 

2.        Constantly follow the technical development of assigned accounts. Develop and maintain extensive knowledge about the machines and/or equipment produced by the account. Understand Temposonics products and their features and benefits as they relate to specific customer needs.  Presents products and services to individual contacts when appropriate. 

3.        Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge on the markets the customers are in and be informed on current trends.  Monitors competitive activity and initiatives for accounts in assigned territory, ensuring that Temposonics marketing is fully aware of competitor intentions and actions that threaten Temposonics market share. Also, use this knowledge to identify specific account requirements and customer needs.  

4.        Create sales plans for assigned accounts.  Plan will include action plan in order to penetrate the account as much as possible along with contact and communication plans with the account on a regular base, with all key people globally.  

5.        Responsible for working on the yearly forecast, reviewing and updating on a quarterly base at minimum in conjunction with the customer plans and to achieve specified sales target for all assigned accounts.   

6.        Coordinate all communication about the assigned account and be the internal reference for all of Temposonics (local and International), manage all business issue in relation to the Account, supporting or coordinating directly with other departments to find the answers and following the issue until it is closed.  

7.        Coordinate with other regionally located sales resources assigned to support the account as well as that regions sales managers to ensure execution of key account sales plans 

8.        Manage all project development acting as the interface between the assigned account and Temposonics internal departments. Established effective working relationships with all Temposonics Managers based on trust and mutual appreciation. 

9.        Learn and constantly develop knowledge of the Temposonics technology, products, and application areas 

10.     Plan and organize regular workshops with the Customer about new products, new solution, new application and development of the Temposonics Technology 

11.     Report all activity into Salesforce.com

12.     Provide regular management reports and updates on the account and/or market situation. Keep supervisor informed of progress against targets, and any potential issues within assigned accounts.  

13.     Other duties as assigned.
