Laundry Attendant
Summary:
To sort, wash, and process resort and contract linen by folding, ironing and stacking sheets, pillowcases and towels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process in-house and contract linen.
- Sort soiled linen, load washers and dryers.
- Operate small-piece folder and ironer.
- Daily inspection of all linens to our standards, checking to see if items need to be spot-treated or ragged out.
- Coordination of VIP/ suite linen as needed.
- Maintain an awareness of all safety procedures and guidelines for equipment and cleaning materials as they relate to guests and associates.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk throughout the shift.
- Perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities: The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
