Procurement Lead

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the Procurement Department/team with daily procurement-based tasks. Ensure all procurement processes are followed and seek lowest cost items while maintaining resort quality standards, utilizing all opportunities through BPS umbrella/partnerships. Ensure all acquisition storage and disposal processes are being followed to maintain asset protection. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Daily Procurement of Items requested by hospitality departments/properties 

  • Assist with determining priorities of delivery schedule and initiate 

  • Assist with Interviews, hiring, training, coaching associates 

  • Report vendor issues, corrections and any action plans needed 

  • Ensure all operational deadlines are met through structured processes 

  • Assist the Manager in ensuring all operational deadlines are met 

  • Possess a working knowledge of all software systems used within the warehouse 

  • Ability to work with vendors to negotiate pricing as directed by leadership 

  • Assist with monitoring inventory levels and ensure that sufficient inventory is available or on order as needed 

  • Must have a working knowledge of products in inventory, principal users and lead times for more customized or special-made products (i.e. BBQ Sauce, Room Amenities etc.) 

  • Must be able to perform all functions of any procurement team member 

  • Maintain ongoing accountability of processes and encourage good hospitality practices 

  • Complete other duties assigned

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Minimum Degree Required:   ?High School Diploma or Equivalent?  

  • Certificate(s) or License(s): Valid Missouri class “E” or Arkansas class “P” license required. 

  • Years of experience2 years’ experience in procurement or warehouse management preferred
