Applications Engineer

The Applications Engineer is the primary technical resource, specializing in circuit card assembly and processes, for the Sales and Pricing Departments, providing technical expertise and solutions during the Bidding process. The Applications Engineer establishes strong relationships with the Engineering, Sales, Pricing and Manufacturing Teams. The Applications Engineer works with customers to create applications that respond to their needs, providing innovative solutions to problems. The Applications Engineer provides on-going technical support for customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a liaison between Sales, Pricing, Engineering and Manufacturing teams on behalf of the customer
  • Serves as the primary technical interface with the customer
  • Provides necessary engineering calculations and makes recommendations to support customer requirements
  • Designs, develops and implements programs and applications that respond to customer needs
  • Provides Engineering expertise to translate customer's needs into manufacturable products
  • Problem solves application and customer design issues before and during production
  • Works with the Engineering and Production teams to provide solutions for production issues
  • Provides expert technical support on behalf of the customer during production
  • Works with the Programs Team to provide on-going technical support for customers
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by Manager

Job Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years Engineering experience, specific to CCA manufacturing highly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Experience in reviewing technical data packages including drawings and bill of materials
  • Excellent Problem Solving, Statistical and Analytical skills
  • Demonstrated strong Project Management skillsĀ 
  • Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
