Parking Event Coordinator
We are seeking energetic and customer service oriented Parking Service Event Coordinator to join our Parking Services team. The parking event coordinator supervises part-time Parking Services staff and coordinates parking operations during events under the direction of the Parking Services Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises Parking Lot Supervisors and Parking Attendants, and coordinates the use of parking spaces during events in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Essential Functions: include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Follows Employee Safety Guidelines and all building protocols
- Supervises all Parking personnel for efficient ingress and egress of guests and control of revenue and expenses
- Trains staff in customer service and departmental policies and procedures
- Coordinates event set-up and utilization of supplies for each event, and traffic flow during ingress and egress
- Assigns parking staff their positions using event specific guidelines, per the instructions of the Manager of Guest Parking Experience
- Verifies all parking attendants are scanning all credit/debit card transactions, scanning valid parking passes and verifying VIP list parkers on parker app (ParkHub)
- Maintains proper levels of all parking equipment and supplies such as: flashlights, scanners, radios, flags, etc.
- Reviews and maintains parking signs and directional signage throughout the property for appropriate event specific information
- Conducts pre-event briefings to inform staff of event specific information and to inform/reinforce all company and departmental policies and procedures as directed by the Manager of Guest Parking Experience
- Reviews parking areas for cleanliness and damages and notifies the Parking Services Manager of any necessary repairs
- Provides assistance to guests and employees in a professional and courteous manner as needed
- Coordinates employee parking and shuttle programs during events
- Other duties as assigned
Education / Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of two years of supervisory and/or parking industry experience required
- Associates degree and /or four-year degree preferred
- Minimum of two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior experience working for an Event Venue or Parking company helpful
- Must have valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record
- Fan-friendly attitude, strong customer-service skills and professional appearance at all times
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and/or employees of the organization
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk, hear and climb stairs
- Requires specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, the noise level may be loud
- Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Requires working near moving mechanical parts occasionally
- Requires working in outdoor weather conditions
