Junior Structure Cabling Technician

This is an exceptional opportunity for you to acquire hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, working alongside a talented team on a significant project.
We are looking for a Junior Structure Cabling Technician?with these core competencies to join our team:
- Installation of structured cabling, coaxial cabling, wireless access points, network hardware, telephony systems, inside and outside plant fiber optic splicing, terminating and testing.
- Onsite responsibilities for physically installing cable distribution systems including installations of outlets, pulling cables, pre-termination and labeling according to industry standards.
- Terminate, assemble and install various connectors and patch panels.
- Terminate, test, and label all sizes of Multi-pair copper cables.
- Correct cable problems as indicated by supervisor.
- Ensure removal of abandoned cable and clean-up of work sites.
- Ability to climb and work at elevations (e.g. from ladders, Aerial lift trucks).
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform physical activities including but not limited to lifting objects weighing over 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform job activities outdoors in different weather conditions (e.g. cold and/or heat, inclement weather).
- Wear appropriate safety apparel and follow all established safety practices and procedures.
- Be adaptable to industrial work site settings for daily safety requirements.
- Ability to work respectfully with others and to work independently.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time and work flexible hours with the understanding that workdays can be in excess of normal hours and some weekend work may be required.
- Must be comfortable working rotational shifts and staying in onsite camp accommodations.
- Must be able to pass Fit for duty, Drug and Alcohol testing.

Experience Required:
- 2 years of Structure Cabling experience.
- Technical training considered an asset.
- Previous telecommunications experience and testing for improved experience.
