Position Summary
The Lead SSA combines expert-level sales support with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team of Sales Support Associates (SSAs) to success. You'll ensure efficient processes, mentor team members, and act as a liaison between the Sales Support Manager and the SSA team. This role is integral to the seamless operation of our sales activities and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and guide the SSA team to meet performance metrics, including deal accuracy and response times.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the team, providing support and resolving conflicts.
- Train and onboard new SSAs, fostering their professional growth.
- Host team meetings to review goals and share updates on policies and initiatives.
Operational Support
- Ensure adherence to FIFO practices to optimize inventory turnover.
- Oversee the accuracy of quotes, deal sheets, and sales documentation.
- Collaborate with logistics and branch teams for timely equipment delivery.
- Maintain CRM records and oversee equipment logistics for sales activities.
Collaboration
- Partner with Regional Sales Managers, Operations Managers, and other departments to enhance customer satisfaction and team success.
- Represent the SSA team's needs in cross-functional meetings.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in business or sales preferred.
- Experience:
- 3+ years in sales or operations support.
- 1+ year in a leadership or mentoring role.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and electronic documentation platforms (e.g., DocuSign) preferred.
