Senior Accountant

Our Senior Account will utilize their analytical, problem solving, and detail skills to make an incredible impact to our Finance Team.
What You'll Do:
- Perform advanced and specialized accounting assignments, usually involving complex and confidential data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial operations.
- Ensure Compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Prepare and review formal financial statements, reports, and budgets, providing insights and analysis
- Analyze financial data, trends and variances to identify opportunities for improvement and cost saving strategies.
- Develop revenue and expenditure analysis and forecasts for long-term planning.

Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field OR four (4) years of full time employment in Finance/Accounting
- An additional five (5) years experience working in a full-time Finance/Accounting role.
- Experience within a governmental or public sector organization is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and supervising staff is preferred.
- CPA, CGFM or CGMA certification is preferred.
- A valid driver's license.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Full Time, Exempt position starting at $29.45 per hour which when annualized is $61,274 per year and will increase to $30.63 per hour which when annualized is $63,725.12 after completing a six (6) month probationary period.

Important Miscellaneous Requirements:
- Must be highly engaged in the department's goals and be able to work cooperatively with the Finance Department Leadership in achieving those goals.
- Must posses a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must posses strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills, strong-interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational, project management skills, sound judgement, initiative, flexibility and detail oriented.
- Must act safely and follow safety standards while at work.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and rug and alcohol screening.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Work Location: City of Branson, Missouri; City Hall. This is an in-office position requiring work to be performed on-site.
