Assistant Operations Manager - Amphenol Military High Speed

The Role  

Amphenol Military High-Speed is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY

The Assistant Operations Manager coordinates and sets high expectations for customer satisfaction via on-time, fault-free delivery of the business unit’s backlog through various manufacturing operations and suppliers and is responsible for executing the business unit’s revenue budget. 

The key responsibilities of the Assistant Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitors factory output (hours and pieces) vs. the production plan to ensure that on-time backlog commitments are being met
  • Manages schedule delinquency and drives the business towards zero overdue and 100% customer satisfaction
  • Supports new product development efforts and flawless on-time execution
  • Supports the business unit’s cost reduction objectives
  • Executes the business unit’s monthly revenue budget
  • Monitors key customer Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs to ensure schedule alignment
  • Manages inventory levels in accordance with the business unit’s objectives
  • Oversees implementation of all new initiatives, product site changes along with new products to ensure smooth transitioning for on time deliveries, tooling, assembly automation, product qualification hardware support, etc.
  • Supervisor EHS Responsibilities:
    • Ensure safe work practices are being followed by their employees
    • Ensure their direct reports attend required EHS training
    • Understand training requirements for tasks that are being performed
    • Ensure incidents and near misses are appropriately reported and corrective actions are implemented

 

Salary: $85,000 - $115,000
