Job Title: Business Analyst

 

Role Summary:

The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and optimizing business processes to align technical solutions with business needs. This role bridges the gap between stakeholders and IT teams by gathering and defining requirements, identifying areas for process improvement, and collaborating on the development and implementation of effective solutions.

This role also involves supporting project planning efforts, ensuring timelines are defined and aligned with organizational goals. The Business Analyst will facilitate stakeholder communication, support quality control throughout project lifecycles, and provide training on tools developed by the organization.
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis: Analyze and document business requirements to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and collaborate with teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Project Coordination: Support project coordination across departments by defining objectives, monitoring progress, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates and facilitating collaboration.
  • Training and Support: Train users on tools developed by the organization and provide post-implementation support.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct user acceptance testing and oversee quality control measures for deliverables.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation, including requirements, process flows, and training materials.
  • Procedure Maintenance: Update and refine procedures to reflect best practices and support organizational growth.
  • Working Hours: Maintain a 4-hour overlap with EST (8 AM to 12 PM) with flexibility to attend occasional meetings outside these hours to coordinate across time zones.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) or project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in business analysis, process optimization, and IT systems, with some exposure to project coordination.
  • Business Analysis Skills:  Strong analytical skills to evaluate business processes, define requirements, and develop effective solutions.
  • Project Coordination: Ability to assist in planning, tracking progress, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with IT systems, data architecture, and tools like Power BI. Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., C#, Python, JavaScript, SQL) is a plus.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging stakeholders and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Experience in user acceptance testing and ensuring deliverables meet organizational standards.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
