The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for identifying, cultivating, pitching, and converting qualified leads to maintain budgeted census and revenue goals. This individual will oversee the entire sales process and program to ensure strong ties with prospective and existing families, as well as professional referral sources and other community partners. This problem-solver will listen carefully to families, helping them find the right apartment, level of care (through our nurses), and activities on our campus. These relationships will be nurtured continually for the purposes of upholding high customer satisfaction, market penetration, brand equity, and a strong reputation across all stakeholder groups. 

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and manages all prospects leads/inquiries regarding potential residency in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Schedules, organizes, and conducts tours with prospective residents on our campus.
  • Helps families understand the value proposition of an Assisted Living environment, as well as the corresponding financial and logistical requirements for residency and any care-related considerations.
  • Obtains all documentation and signatures required for qualification of prospective resident and completes all necessary forms, collaborating closely with our Executive Director and finance department for approval of new admissions.
  • Coordinates admissions and discharges from our campus, following all policies and completing all required documentation.
  • Conducts extensive telemarketing follow-up from initial contact through admission.
  • Cultivates an active and meaningful waitlist, staying in touch with prospective families and finding ways for them to engage in programs on our campus.
  • Creates, plans, and implements events to bring in prospective residents such as community workshops, CEU programs, speakers, themed events, promotions, and family nights. Creates and implements a strong community outreach program.
  • Participates in networking, special events, group presentations and referral development programs. Attends local business association meetings and becomes an active participant in those groups. Serves as ambassador for our Assisted Living community.
  • Develops and nurtures referral sources, making regular visits and phone contacts, with geriatric care managers, senior care referral networks, physicians, nurses, social workers, and even individual families.
  • Works closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director in the development and implementation of the marketing plan.
  • Oversees the execution of all integrated marketing including advertising platforms and public relations
  • Develops, manages, and organizes content for email marketing including newsletters, announcements and invitations through Constant Contact.
  • Must be creative and strategic in developing marketing/advertising campaigns and managing various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Effectively and efficiently maintains resident census, lead management computer database, keeping mailing lists, files and records updated.
  • Sends daily reports on census and waitlist.
  • Maintains an active record of marketing executions, sales offer, and pricing decisions made by competitors in our county and the neighboring areas.
  • Meets all expectations of occupancy and budget.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Experience: Demonstrated sales experience required. Assisted living experience preferred, but not necessary. Strong customer service, communication, hospitality, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines required.

Salary

$90,000 to $100,000 based on experience, plus eligible commissions on a campus that is in high demand among prospective families.
