CDL Class A Local
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Delivery Driver (CDL A) to join our growing team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of insulation products to job sites based on a pre-determined schedule. You’ll ensure on-time deliveries, interact professionally with customers, and assist in the warehouse as needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver products within a pre-determined driving schedule to job sites.
- Load and unload trucks with insulation products and materials.
- Ensure truck maintenance standards are met, performing daily pre-trip inspections and minor maintenance as needed.
- Report mechanical or maintenance issues immediately to the Plant Manager.
- Complete daily DOT logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Process necessary paperwork, including tickets and bills of lading.
- Obtain customer signatures for receipt of materials and collect COD charges when required.
- Verify the accuracy of material counts to maintain inventory.
- Report any issues discovered during deliveries to the Plant Manager.
- Assist with production and material handling in the warehouse when needed.
- Move, pick up, and drop off trailers as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL (Class A) license in compliance with company policy and DOT regulations.
- As a condition of continued employment, employees working in a position requiring driving as an essential function of the job, are required to maintain a valid license, and an acceptable driving record as per our insurance provider’s requirements.
- A minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience driving a tractor/trailer.
- Ability to meet all DOT regulations and maintain a medical card.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
