CNC Operator
SUMMARY
The CNC operator performs tasks to ensure the ongoing manufacture of compliant parts. This requires the ability to detect non-conforming parts being made. If detected, the CNC operator will make adjustments to the manufacture or escalate the issue as necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Inspect ongoing operation of Swiss CNC machines to ensure manufacture of compliant parts
- Inspect 100% of characteristics of part to ensure compliance
- Identify and makes basic adjustments to tooling and/or machine necessary to make compliant parts. Notify CNC Machinist or Setup Technician as necessary to correct non-conforming parts.
- Convert raw materials into finished product using machines and/or hand-processing.
- Build product to standard rate.
- Complete product and process inspections
- Complete product and material changeovers (either in entirety or in portions as assigned depending on the complexity of the changeover assigned).
- Work safely and look-out for the safety of others
- Keep area clean and organized
- Maintain required certifications (if applicable)
- Interface with computer software to find documents and complete data entry.
- Make process adjustments based on quality or process data.
- Perform job duties in order to meet quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals.
- Able to work overtime as assigned.
- Willing and able to support continuous improvement activities.
- Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.

EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
JOB SKILLs
- Manufacturing experience in a custom make to order environment.
- Work effectively as a Team Member and maintain a positive attitude.
- Work at fast pace to ensure product ships to customers per schedule.
- Willing and able to cross-train and be effective in various processes.
- Good oral and written communications skills – able to explain complex operations and methods clearly and concisely. Technical writing experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
As part of their job duties, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day while frequently using their hands to handle objects and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to reach, stretch, push, pull, crouch, stoop, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. This role requires specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
