Summer Internship 2025 - Mechanical Design Engineer Intern

Job Summary:  

The Design Intern aims to evaluate and enhance the company's design processes as we implement Windchill system as the enterprise Product Data Management (PDM) tool. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Help identify the root cause of issues in the development process and resulting impact on manufacturing. 

  • Develop ideas for improvements in currently developed products. 

  • Develop standard library components and process. 

  • Develop training materials Engineers to use new standard library components. 

  • Perform design changes as assigned. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities:  

  • Strong oral and written communication skills required. 

  • Good interpersonal skills required to work effectively with others. 

  • Analytical ability to solve complex problems. 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • College undergraduate pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree, or other Mechanical Engineering Technology degree. 

  • Sheet meat fabrication/assembly experience desired. 

  • 3D CAD required, CREO desired. 

  • Data vault required, Windchill desired. 

  • Must have completed the first year of the undergraduate program. 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
