Pre-Construction Lead

As our Pre-Construction Lead, you will:
- Perform as the lead Information, Communications, Automation & Transportation (ICAT) Design Engineer for assigned P3, Alliance, Design Assist and large construction pursuits.
- Manage ICAT bid schedule for all deliverables and key dates.
- Delegate and support the team(s) in performing pursuits related tasks, ensuring that all deliverables for all pursuits are collected and submitted on schedule.
- Leverage internal teams and vendor partnerships to create responsibility matrix for pursuit / project deliverables.
- Define, identify and track potential risks within each pursuit; monitor and manage identified risks through regular reporting.
- Participate in Client Presentations as required throughout pursuit process.
- Identify partnerships and efficiencies within the pursuit process to support Plan Group as the vendor of choice.
- Lead handover meetings once a pursuit has been awarded to the design development and operations teams.
- Provide technical insights, new ideas and best practices to the team in the pursuit process while keeping cost and feasibility top of mind for construction.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Ten (5-7) years IT Construction Design experience.
- Five (5) years technical project management experience.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of IT and Building System technologies in the built environment including the challenges of construction and systems integration.
- Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Systems Engineering post-secondary education or related work experience.
- Strong understanding of data networking principles.
- Strong understanding of construction schedules and logistics requirements.
- Experience managing large scale commercial and institutional projects.
- Proven ability to think critically while working with incomplete information to develop innovative solutions.
