Quality Technician I

Position Summary:

• Leads APC's internal certification program for IPC-600 as the CIT (Certified Internal Trainer).
• Processes RMA’s (Return Material Authorizations) and RVA’s (Return Value Adds) for the Nashua PWB and Assembly business units.
• Assists in the review and disposition of PWB nonconformities identified at Final Quality Inspection and X-Section Lab
• Assists Quality Engineers with projects and tasks such as data collection, product tracking, etc.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Obtain and maintain CIT certificate for IPC-600.
• Coordinate and maintain employee training and certification records for IPC-600.
• Receive, inspect and coordinate processing of RMA’s and RVA’s for Nashua site.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Quality Engineering, Process Engineering and Manufacturing on RMA and RVA activities.
• This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.     

• Follows established safety procedures.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements:

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related Quality inspection experience.
• Must be able to use a computer to maintain records, develop reports, and analyze data and document discrepancies as well as using a computer to perform all other related aspects of the position. 
• Certification training in IPC A600 (Printed Wiring Boards) and ability to obtain CIT (Certified Internal Trainer).
• Certification training in IPC A610 (Electronic Assemblies) is preferred
