SCI Summary: SCI supports people with disabilities, behavioral challenges, medically complex needs, transitioning youth, the elderly, and other populations using Maryland Department of Health's Targeted Case Management and Supports Planning work models as well as a concierge level geriatric care management and care partner model.

Position Summary: This key contributing position within SCI's Talent Acquisition Team is responsible for delivering sourcing efforts to support agency-wide proactive pipelining. You will partner and collaborate with Team Members to understand SCI's hiring needs and candidate profiles. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will develop strategic sourcing strategies to identify talent pools for current and future staffing needs.

Essential Duties:

  • Design and implement effective and creative sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill positions
  • Use innovative sourcing techniques to develop diverse and inclusive talent pools in conjunction with SCI's Inclusion, Diversity, Respect and Accessibility (IDEA)  commitment
  • Build and maintain a large network of prepositioned qualified candidates through social media outlets and traditional sourcing methods
  • Lead university partnership programs to develop and implement a new graduate recruiting plan that supports the organizations talent pipeline and hiring needs
  • Represent and promote SCI at industry and/or networking events and job fairs. Articulate compelling employee value propositions based on SCI opportunities, core values, and total rewards
  • Gather market intelligence and industry knowledge to help identify diverse candidate pools and build a comprehensive strategy for filling critical roles
  • Review resumes and profiles for appropriate skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements and interview key prospects
  • Identify, build, and maintain relationships with candidate talent pools
  • Enter and maintain recruitment information in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Lead or participate in cross functional initiatives related to Talent Acquisition
  • Various other People and Culture duties and special projects as assigned

Supervisory Duties:

  • None

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study; or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • SHRM or PHR/SPHR certification preferred

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years sourcing and recruitment experience in a large organization
  • Experience working in a non-profit or for-profit, service-based organization preferred
  • Strong current network in human services space is highly desired
  • Knowledge of ATS. UKG preferred
  • Travel: Must be willing and able to travel to attend career fairs, networking/professional association events, conferences, and other events as required

Physical Demands: Generally, presents standard office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position >95% of the time. Continually operates a computer, keyboard and mouse, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, and mobile Smartphone device. Constantly positions self to comfortably maintain computer equipment. May occasionally be required to move about in an office setting or position office equipment weighing between 10-25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. The person in this position frequently communicates with other people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

IT Roles must be able to position self to maintain computers and equipment, including under desks and in server room(s). Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
