Lakefield Veterinary Group is looking for a Senior Analyst responsible for developing and implementing strategic pricing models that maximize revenue and profitability. This role analyzes market conditions, product costs, and competitive positioning to establish optimal pricing structures for hospital products and services, directly contributing to the organization's financial performance and growth objectives. Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Pricing and Data Analyst is a key member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, responsible for developing and implementing strategic pricing models, monitoring pricing and business performance, and conducting complex economic and statistical analyses. This role will report to our Director of FP&A.
Pricing Strategy and Implementation:
- Lead strategic pricing initiatives, including the design of pricing strategies and architecture for hospital products and services.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated pricing enablement tools to support decision-making across the organization.
- Work closely with the procurement team to analyze supply chain costs and determine appropriate pricing responses to supply-side cost changes.
- Apply financial modeling, data analysis, and effective communication skills to influence revenue growth and profit decisions.
Modeling and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of products and services to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
- Own the analytics behind pricing initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive pricing, and market conditions to ensure pricing strategies remain competitive and effective.
- Perform ad hoc financial and economic modeling using advanced statistical tools to enable data driven decision-making.
Measuring Business Performance:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of executed pricing strategies against established goals and metrics, recommending adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medicine, operations, and marketing to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of total work experience, with at least 2+ years in a pricing or revenue management role
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or related discipline
- MBA or Master's degree in a quantitative field is a plus
- Intermediate to advanced R programming experience for statistical analysis and modeling
- Demonstrated experience developing pricing strategies and financial models
- Track record of successfully implementing pricing initiatives that drive revenue and profitability
- Experience working with large datasets and performing complex financial analyses
- Advanced Excel skills including complex financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data manipulation
- Advanced presentation development skills including compelling data visualization and storytelling techniques
- PowerBI experience for dashboard creation and data reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities
- Background in veterinary services or human healthcare is a plus but not required
Benefits:
Job Type: Full time salaried exempt
Compensation: $140,000 to $160,000
