Dessert Holdings is looking for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team at corporate headquarters in St. Paul, MN.  Reporting to the SVP of Finance, the Director of FP&A will serve as a strategic business partner to the executive leadership team, driving financial insights and decision-making to support the Company’s growth and profitability objectives. This individual will lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis for both the Retail and Foodservice sales channels, delivering critical insights to help guide strategic initiatives.  The idea candidate will have a strong background in CPG or manufacturing, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and thrive in our dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The typical hiring range for this role is $185,000 to $215,000 annually plus bonus and is based on several factors such as education, work experience, skills, certifications, location, etc. In addition to pay, Dessert Holdings offers benefits such as a choice of comprehensive medical plans, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, and retirement contribution to all eligible employees.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies supporting sales goals to drive profitable and sustainable growth
  • Develop and enhance financial models and analytical tools to improve forecasting accuracy and business insights.
  • Lead the new product pricing process, manage product mix and margin optimization
  • Partner collaboratively with Sales to provide monthly sales and channel financial reporting and ensure financial implications of sales decisions are understood across the organization from both a risk and opportunities perspective
  • Assess trade spending initiatives
  • Lead a develop a high performing team of 3 direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous learning, development, and growth
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations to drive system upgrades and process automation to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
  • Enhance and drive common practices and simplification across financial processes, minimizing risk exposure
  • Prepare materials for Senior Leadership and Board of Directors meetings

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Familiarity with the CPG industry and manufacturing a plus
  • Fluent in financial principles, with strong Excel/MS Office skills and standard financial software programs
  • Strong analytical capabilities, a desire to understand what the numbers truly mean, and the ability to translate financial analysis into meaningful insights for both finance and non-finance peers
  • Strong communication and presentation skills necessary to influence organizational levels up to the C-suite and board level
  • Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced dynamic environment of growth
