The Role
Primarily responsible to provide security and safety for guests and staff through compliance with the hotel's standards and procedures.
What You'll Be Doing
- Patrolling the property to ensure that safety and security policies and procedures are adhered to
- Ensuring all guest room doors and all public access doors are secured
- Ensuring all properties security alarms and CCTV cameras are on and functional.
- Monitoring the CCTV footage for any suspicious activity, and reporting to the Security Manager/Supervisor on shift.
- Maintaining clear and concise logs of all nightly occurrences or suspicious activity
- Responding to guest and staff requests quickly and courteously
- Assisting guests/employees during emergency situations
- Notifying appropriate stakeholders in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents
- Adhering to key control policy and procedures according to the set standards of the hotel.
- Assisting in training new team members on the job.
- Attending to phone calls with proper telephone etiquette and standard greetings.
- Adhering to department handover/takeover procedures
- Supervising external security officers
- Attending any departmental meetings or training as scheduled

Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of (5) CXCs subjects, an Associate Degree is preferred
- Customer Service or Team Jamaica training is an asset
- Certification in CPR or First Aid is an asset
- At least two (2) years' of security experience/training
- Valid PSRA licence
- Valid Industrial Security Training Certificate
