Outside Sales Representative

Position Description:

As a new sales professional, you will undergo comprehensive training, combining online classroom learning with hands-on field training and mentorship. Your dedicated field trainer will teach you the business sales cycle and advanced sales techniques. Prior sales experience is preferred but not required; we will train the right person.

You will manage your local territory, engaging with small and medium-sized businesses across various industries. Your role involves in-person meetings with business owners, introducing them to leading supplemental insurance solutions tailored to their needs. You will also work individually with employees and conduct group presentations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Utilize our Salesforce CRM to generate leads, acquire clients, and expand your network.

  • Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, or text.

  • Schedule and conduct client meetings to assess insurance needs.

  • Participate in calls and meetings with your sales manager and team.

  • Visit new businesses, build relationships, follow up on leads, and reservice clients.

  • Build and nurture your client portfolio.

  • Set sales targets with your sales team manager.

  • Plan and adhere to your weekly schedule, submitting it to your sales manager.

  • Record daily work stats and sales activity updates.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Successfully pass a thorough pre-employment background check.

  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.

  • Possess an active Health & Life Insurance Producer license in your state (or willingness to obtain it; study course provided and state licensing fees reimbursed).

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years of post-high school work experience (candidates within 6 months of degree completion or with relevant sales or athletic experience will be considered).
