Supplier Quality Technician

The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Supplier Quality Technician to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.
Support of quality functions including but not limited to non-conformance investigation and disposition, sourcing support, supplier support, supplier quality documentation and SCAR’s.
The key responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Technician include, but are not limited to:
- Technical support of supplier quality issues/escapes in relation to non-conformances
- NCMR product review and disposition
- Ability to communicate with sourcing and suppliers via phone, web meetings, and email
- Support of corrective action responses based on supplier escape issues, non-conformances, and monthly data
- Maintain a working knowledge of product workmanship standards and quality procedures manual
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specs, and documents
- Determine rework and process work orders
- Review of rejection trends and proactive problem-solving skills
Salary: $42,000 - $65,000
Location -
- Sidney, NY
- 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
- 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY
The Person -
The key skills and qualities of a Supplier Quality Technician at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Data3 software
- High school diploma and at least 1 year of applicable experience or an associate degree in a technical curriculum and 1 year of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing support is required
- Equivalent education and experience are acceptable
- Bending, sitting, typing, lifting, standing, walking, carrying, etc. on daily basis, could be up to a total of 4 to 5 hours/day
