Summary:
The Business Development Alliance Manager will support the Business Development (“BD”) team to deliver continuous growth of the company’s pipeline of products and sales opportunities. This role requires an independent, organized, and forward-thinking individual who excels at interacting with both internal and external stakeholders, and thrives in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. Organization, problem-solving, and strong oral and written communication skills are key drivers for this position.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage governance mechanisms by developing and aligning meeting content, handling logistics and managing follow up internally and with partner counterparts
- Project manage collaborative initiatives like technical transfers, regulatory affairs document preparation with internal and cross-partnership teams
- Proactively identify program level challenges, raise awareness and provide transparency to company leadership and relevant stakeholders while leading cross-functional teams through strategic analysis and planning to address these challenges
- Track key partnership developments, e.g., milestones, deliverables, and development / commercial timelines, to ensure fulfillment of agreement obligations
- Provide visibility on partnerships to senior leadership and partnership stakeholders through regular and ad hoc reports and presentations on partnership status
- Contribute to development of Business Development department internal knowledge management and organization resources by identifying opportunities and developing content
- Create additional value within alliances, facilitate the creation of mutual trust with partners, and proactively manage collaboration risks
- Communicate partner updates and proactively identify potential risks to senior leadership in an effective way
- Establish operating practices for tracking milestones and metrics
- Manage the department’s new product launch phase timeline. Activities include gathering and validating supplier information, and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with the Product Manager as BD’s point person for all Selection Phase product launch activities. Continued participation may be required beyond Selection on an as-needed basis.
- Work with internal teams to ensure documents received are sufficient to complete tasks.
- Identify, research and coordinate with suppliers to participate in VA Mail Order one-time-buy opportunities.
- Source required supplier information as needed for our contract modifications and bid proposals. Leverage existing supplier product checklists for gathering of appropriate information.
- Maintain supplier product checklists under the direction of the BD Director.
- Represent BD in designated internal meetings. Track and facilitate open actions.
- Support and maintain various BD trackers as directed
- Schedule BD meetings with suppliers and site visit activities. Coordinate as needed with internal stakeholders to ensure all resources directed by the BD Director are attained and in place.
- Assist with Events, trade shows, and conferences as needed, including maintaining contact lists, meeting schedules, and logistics.
- Under the direction of the BD AVP and BD Managers, manage reporting of Business Development opportunities, results and capture rates. Prepare slides for monthly meetings and review for accuracy.
- Conduct ad hoc requests including but not limited to, pricing and market landscape analysis, as directed by the BD leadership.

Required Qualifications:
- At minimum, 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical related job function, preferably the generic industry. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience with Excel and other analytical toolsets (e.g., Microsoft BI, Access, etc.)
- Some experience analyzing and validating data sets
- Ability to remain focused while working on multiple tasks and projects
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Willing to take initiative and work with limited direction
- Strong analytical capabilities
Miscellaneous Requirements:
- Maintain a strong attendance record

- Some travel required
