Job Summary
This position is responsible for the processing of all shipping and receiving of New, Used, and Rental Industrial Equipment, prioritizing shipments, creating schedules and dispatching drivers according to the schedule. The successful Transportation Coordinator will review all rental work orders and maintaining a daily log of planned shipments while recording actual shipments.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and stage equipment for drivers while tagging all equipment coming in or leaving the shop
- Contact outside hauling sources for overflow; negotiate for the best rate
- Complete monthly sales unit inventory and participate in 5S projects to manage the shop flow and conditions
- Promote ProLift Toyota Material Handling's values, mission and purpose of "Helping People Carry the Load" to ensure we are customers', vendors' and associates' "Indispensable Partner"
Educational/Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of experience in dispatching and/or material handling, is proficient in their use of Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, and Excel, can communicate effectively, and has excellent organizational skills while multi-tasking. The ideal candidate will protect the organization's values by maintaining confidential information utilizing their ability to handle sensitive information.
