JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Manager

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations/General Manager

 

Job Description Summary:

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the entire flow of goods from raw materials to finished products, coordinating all aspects of procurement, inventory control, storage, planning, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely delivery to customers while optimizing costs and efficiency across the supply chain.

– Proficient with inventory reporting systems.

– Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or similar software.

 

Qualifications – Education/Experience:

– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field required.

– Five years of experience in Supply Chain field required.

– Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.

– High energy, self-starter.

– Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.

– Interpersonal skills for effective team communication and motivate a team, build consensus, and drive results.

 

Duties/Responsibilities: (Position Specific)

– Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts.

– Monitor stock levels, optimizing inventory levels to minimize carrying costs, forecasting demand, and managing reorder points to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements.

– Maintains and ensures accuracy of inventory system.

– Works with the purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.

– Responsible for continuing programs of exploration for new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery.

– Analyze supply chain costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating better pricing with suppliers, and implementing cost-reduction strategies.

– Identify potential disruptions in the supply chain.

– Establishes procedures and supervises the annual physical inventory.

– Supervise, evaluate, and coach staff members.

– Interfaces with product line coordinators on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments.

– Identify and source reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring quality standards are met.

– Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions.

– Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods.

– Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory.

– Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.

– Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) like delivery time, on-time delivery rate, inventory turnover, and cost per unit to measure supply chain performance.

– Performs other related duties as assigned.
