Receiving Inspector

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As part of the Quality Department, the Receiving Inspector will be responsible for inspecting incoming products. Will check for damaged goods, verify quantity and quality of order. Will also verify items received against purchase order. Inspections will include detailed verification that the product meets drawing requirements. The inspections will include first article reports and functional acceptance tests. Other expectations may include:
- Inspect parts and assemblies for conformance to technical drawings
- Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolve shipments in error with suppliers
- Enter data into computerized database
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- 1-2 years of receiving inspection experience, preferably in an Aerospace or warehouse environment
- Willing to train the right person with similar non-aerospace experience
- Experience with technical drawings is required
- Proficient in the use of measuring tools, calipers, scales, and height gages.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Relevant skills in basic MS Office applications - Outlook, Excel & Word
- Ability to maintain a high degree of quality
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements
- Able to work well independently or in a team
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
