Regional Transportation Manager – EMEA

Role Description:

Regional transportation manager participates in end-to-end transportation support for all logistics within the assigned region. Manages both the commercial relationship, RFP process, financial analysis and carrier performance as well as the day-to-day execution support for import, export and domestic transportation. Supports both manufacturing and distribution. Experience managing all modes of transportation

Responsabilities:

  • Coordinating/handling queries, escalations and issues related to specific shipments as received from internal customers (local logistics teams, planning, customer service, sales,…
  • Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes and requirements with bid process execution and negotiation of transportation pricing, service, and quality.
  • Processing spot quote requests and approvals from internal stakeholders
  • Maintain and communicate transit time changes in SAP
  • Supporting/coordinating weekly/monthly/quarterly forecasts
  • Consolidating of monthly performance/financial reports (received from forwarders)
  • Supporting Finance-department with the monthly (month closing) accruals (in close cooperation with local transportation teams)
  • Updating/sharing monthly fuel surcharge for all modes of transport
  • Responsible for managing carrier performance
  • Conduct financial analysis
  • Leads in RFQ/Tenders
  • SME in regional or local projects
  • Follow-up on regional level of Transportation complaints
  • Host recurring calls with carriers/forwarders for all regional RAIL, OCEAN and ROAD

  • Travel: Occasional travel within EMEA
