Job Description

M. Braun, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Network Administrator to join our IT Department.  This person will be responsible for all aspects of network administration.  Job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • The installation and maintenance of the company servers
  • Performing preventive maintenance, monitoring load levels, and data backups
  • Monitor network connectivity and troubleshoot issues with our current internet providers
  • Administration of our Sonicwall firewalls
  • Maintain operating system workstations (Windows 10/11) and servers (Windows 2012/2016/2022).
  • Ensure workstation and server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions
  • Administration of the ERP financial system
  • Administration of the Creo engineering system
  • Administration of all company cell phones, Apple/Android
  • Phone system (Avaya), key fob, and camera DVR administration
  • Administration of all printers
  • Provide I.T. support for all company locations (United States)
  • Provide technical support to in-house and remote end users
  • Onboarding IT training of new employees
  • Provide IT security training to new employees and annual renewal training for all current employees
  • Enforcement of all security policies
  • Documentation of all IT processes/policies

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of Navision software a plus, but not required
  • This individual should be able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • US Citizenship (due to federal contracts in place, only US Citizens are eligible for consideration)

  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to multi-task and handle time management in a high pressure environment
  • Must have strong problem solving skills and possess the ability to resolve common problems
  • Must be able to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner with M. Braun employees as well as customers and vendors
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision

Education Requirements

Combination of a college degree in a relevant field of study (associates, bachelors) and/or directly applicable experience (2-3 years required)

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Physical Requirement: Must have fine motor skills; be able to grasp small items; ability to do a repetitive motion; the ability to sit and walk for most of the day; crawling; some light to moderate lifting and carrying 
  • Visual Requirement: Must be able to visually read documents and a computer screen
  • Hearing Requirement: Must be able to hear and speak on the phone and in person to convey information; must be able to identify beeps and noises coming from the server and be able to listen to and understand employee technical concern in order to assist
  • Mental Requirement: Comprehension, Organization, Reasoning, Decision Making, Communication, and Mathematics.
