Facilities Engineering Intern

Position Summary: Facilities Engineering Intern- 2025 Summer Internship Program
Location: Hamden, CT

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEM’s globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a Facilities Engineering Intern to join our team. The position will be located in Hamden, CT.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Facilities Engineer Intern will support one or more Facility Engineers in all aspects of daily work which may include
What you’ll do:
Gain Experience!
Help facilitate a new CMMS program
Start programs to log periodic maintenance schedules
Asist in maintenance inventory of spare parts
Must be proficient in Solid Works, AutoCAD
Process design improvement
Operator training
Product derivative design adaptation to current manufacturing processes
Coordination with relating groups: Program Management, Product Engineering, Development Engineering, Mechanical and Signal Integrity, Geographic Manufacturing Sites, and suppliers


QUALIFICATIONS:
A strong candidate will have completed their freshman, sophomore, or junior year in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering. A graduate level student studying engineering, and with a possible interest in design, product engineering, project management, or business related fields.
Demonstrated computer skills including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Experience with Autocad, Solidworks, VISIO is a plus
Verbal and written communication skills
