Dental Supervisor

Dental Supervisor - We are currently seeking a Dental Supervisor to join our Dental leadership team. The selected candidate will oversee the daily operations of the dental office, ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, and support staff to function efficiently and effectively. This role requires a motivated and organized individual with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role is expected to foster a cohesive, collaborative, and engaging team environment within the dental department.

  • Supervise daily front and back office dental operations
  • Manage scheduling, patient flow, billing, and collections processes
  • Oversee dental staff coordination, including scheduling, onboarding, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA standards
  • Collaborate with dental providers and administration to enhance patient experience
  • Track and report clinic performance metrics and operational goals
  • Assist with inventory management and procurement of supplies and equipment
  • Resolve patient concerns and manage escalations in a professional and timely manner.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of dental office procedures, terminology, and billing practices
  • Experience with dental software (e.g. SoftDent, XDR or similar)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to service excellence and patient satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a dental office, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
  • CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Physical Capabilities:

  • Requires lifting of materials and supplies up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday
  • Manual dexterity required for computer and phone usage
