Full Charge Housekeeper

 

A busy family in Lake Forest, IL, is seeking a skilled and experienced full-charge Housekeeper with an eye for detail.

 

We are seeking an energetic, highly organized Housekeeper to ensure that the home remains in impeccable condition. The ideal candidate will be a mature self-starter who takes initiative and capably manages multiple tasks with ease. You will work independently, reporting directly to the principals and will collaborate with other team members.

 

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper in a fine home with verifiable references
• Keen eye for detail
• Knowledge of how to care for materials such as artwork, fine furnishings, crystal, china, silver, brass, marble, fine linens, etc.
• Capably maintains schedules for deep cleaning and organize various areas of the home, including wardrobes, closets, and laundry
• A positive, pleasant demeanor and a professional appearance, with an understanding of confidentiality.
• Able to effectively communicate in English with the family and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• We are seeking a professional who enjoys learning the family's preferences and are receptive to feedback.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the residence including daily and deep cleaning tasks.
• Care for and maintain all household items with proper techniques and supplies.
• Handle laundry, including ironing, steaming, and maintaining wardrobes.
• Monitor household cleaning supplies inventory and request replacements as needed.
• Receive deliveries and handle vendor interactions.
• Assist with travel preparations and packing/unpacking as requested.
• Perform additional tasks and errands as needed to ensure the family's needs are met.

 

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $40 - $45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
• Schedule
  • Monday – Friday,
  • Start time could be between 7:00 am and 9:00 am (the principals are willing to discuss this with the right candidate), ending between 3:00 and 5:00 pm
  • 8-hour day
  • Some flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
