Regional Transportation Manager – EMEA

Role Description:
Regional transportation manager participates in end-to-end transportation support within the EMEA region. Manages carrier relationship, RFP process, cost savings and carrier performance as well as the day-to-day execution support for import, export and domestic transportation. Responsibilities:
- Coordinating/handling queries, escalations and issues related to specific shipments as received from internal customers (local logistics teams, planning, customer service, sales,…
- Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes and requirements with bid process execution and negotiation of transportation pricing, service, and quality.
- Processing spot quote requests and approvals from internal stakeholders
- Maintain and communicate transit time changes in SAP
- Coordinate with freight audit provider to ensure invoices flow through correctly and timely.
- Supporting Finance-department with the monthly (month closing) accruals (in close cooperation with local transportation teams)
- Updating/sharing monthly fuel surcharge for all modes of transport
- Responsible for managing carrier performance
- Conduct savings analysis/processes
- SME in regional or local projects
- Follow-up on regional level of Transportation complaints
- Host QBR/monthly/weekly recurring calls with carriers/forwarders for all regional RAIL, OCEAN and ROAD
Skill and Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills that translate data into actionable insights
- Strong expertise on transportation network on all modes within region as well as global interface
- Knowledge of import and export practice within the region
- Global mindset and ability to work across geographies and cultures
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Strong inter-personal skills; builds effective relationships and influence across organization
- Decision maker + eager to take/show initiative
