About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity ideal for an HR executive who thrives in fast-paced, people-first, service-oriented environments. You will architect and execute HR strategies across a 5,000+ employee footprint—most of whom are hourly, field-based, and deeply mission-driven.
Your Impact
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with ownership to align HR with long-term business and workforce goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational design, workforce strategy, and policy development.
- Act as a cultural champion and driver of inclusive, performance-focused transformation.
People Operations
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, retention, timekeeping, compensation, benefits, compliance, and offboarding.
- Lead a growing HR team across specialties and geographies.
- Develop scalable systems and processes to support a decentralized workforce.
HR Technology & Analytics
- Optimize our HRIS, ATS, timekeeping, and benefit platforms for usability and data-driven insights.
- Create and maintain dashboards to track key metrics: turnover, DEI, performance, engagement.
- Automate workflows to boost efficiency and improve the employee experience.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure strict compliance with California and federal labor regulations.
- Manage investigations, wage/hour reviews, employee relations, and HR audits.
- Proactively reduce legal and reputational risk across all employment functions.
Culture & Retention
- Champion initiatives that improve engagement, foster inclusion, and celebrate success.
- Design retention strategies tailored to the needs of our field-based caregivers.
- Collaborate with leaders to promote open communication and cross-functional trust.
What You Bring
- Proven Scale Experience: 10+ years in HR, with 5+ years leading teams in a 5,000+ employee environment.
- Service-Sector Expertise: Background in non-medical care, healthcare support, or decentralized field operations.
- Strategic + Tactical Agility: Executive-level vision with a hands-on, “builder” mentality.
- California Employment Law Mastery: Deep working knowledge of state/federal compliance.
- Tech & Data Fluency: Familiarity with HR tech platforms and the use of data to drive people decisions.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish (Required): Crucial for communication and workforce engagement.
